She was in her 24lh year. The daughter of Adrian and Phyllis Haines, sister of Brian and Nancy and fiancee of Todd Stephens of Hampton. She lived with her family in Tyrone. She was educated at Enniskillen Public School (M.J.Hobbs) and an "Ontario Scholar" graduate of Courtice Secondary School. Leanne was well known throughout the community for her part-time and summer employment at Canadian Tire in Bowmanville during these years. Following her graduation from Durham College, she was manager of Dapper Dan in the Oshawa Centre, employed by North America Van Lines in Scarborough and was currently employed with L and L Tool Ltd. in Bowmanville as Inventory Controller. Leanne was finding total happiness and joy since her engagement Sept. 21st, 1986 to Todd, making plans and preparing a special home together. Their wedding was to take place June 6th, 1987. Funeral service was held on Friday, December 5, 1986 at the Wagg-McDermott-Pana- baker Funeral Home in Port Perry with the Rev. David McKinnell officiating. Pallbearers were Scott Muir, Raymond Haines, Tracy Stephens, John Van Der Weer, Michael Glass and Jeffrey Haines. Much love was shown for Leanne by the many floral takens and donations received in her memory from relatives and friends. Interment was Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. Rita Deger 111 six months, Rita Deger, aged 63, died in Oshawa General Hospital on Sunday, December 28,1986. Daughter of Cordelia Leblanc, she was born in Calvert Twsp., Cochrane District, and was educated at Sacred Heart, Toronto. She was married September 3, 1938, to Gerald Joseph Deger. A resident of Bowmanville at 4 Nelson Street, Apt. 102 from 1983-1986. She had previously resided in Scarborough. Surviving are her husband Gerald, two sons Gerald Jr. and John, two daughters Joyce Bell and Margaret Bond, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Father Sciuk officiated at the funeral services held on Tuesday at the Morris Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers were Messrs. James and. Gary Bond, Bradley Bell, Glen Hubbers, Daniel and Duke Deger. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Mary Beatrice Lake Mary Beatrice Lake died suddenly at Marnwood House Nursing Home Sat., Dec. 6th, 1986 in her 83rd year. She was a dear sister of Harold, Mrs. Ken Robins (Margaret), Ottawa, Mrs. Clayton Farnel (Jennie), Perth, Predeceased by brothers Percy and Arçhie and sisters Mrs. Mackwarth (Laura), Mrs. Fred McGinnis (Ruby), Mrs, Richard Burke (Catherine). Also survived by nieces and nephews. Mary lived with her parents in the Perth area until her father's death in 1957 when she went to reside with her brother Harold in Bowmanville. She suffered a stroke eight years ago and entered Marnwood House. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church and a member of the Salvation Army Home League (outer circle). Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Byron Yates in the chapel of Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home Monday at 11 a.m. Interment at Bowmanville Cemetery. Miss Marlon Elizabeth Brown, R.N. A graduate of Oshawa General Hospital in 1929, and a member of the nursing staff for over 45 years, Marion •Elizabeth Brown R.N., died on Monday, December 29, 1986, at Oshawa General Hospital, Born June 24,1908, in Clarke Township, she was the daughter of the late John Davey and Ellen Brown of Orono, and the beloved sister of Olive (Mrs. Ed Millson) Orono, Le Roy, Lindsay and Everett of Orono. Sister-in- law of Grace and Evcrton White, Bowmanville, 10 nieces and nephews and dear friend of the Shreve family. She was predeceased by a brother James T. Brown of Newcastle. The Reverend Fred MUnes, officiated at the funeral services held on Wednesday at the Mclntosh-Anderson Funeral Home, Oshawa, Pallbearers were Messrs, Robert, Gerald, Merrill and Lynn Brown , John and Bob Shrove.
