Mr. and Mrs. Don Vinkle and Miss Dale Imlach had dinner on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rowe and Tiffany of Bowmanville. Several young people attended a 21st birthday party of Mr. Robert Tompkins at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tompkins on Friday evening. The hostess for the evening was Miss Becky Crockett of Newcastle. Several members of the U.C.W. enjoyed their. Christmas meeting on Wednesday evening at the Sunday School, beginning with a pot luck dinner. While the dishes were being washed Carole Gardner at the piano led in some Christmas carols. The regular meeting followed and reports were given. The devotional was led by Marlene Stacey and Olive Henderson. More carols were sung and the scriptures read. Lynda i Farrow, Phillis Peck, Doris Chrysler, Dorothy Stapleton and Mary Vinkle each placed red petals on a wreath forming a poinsettia. Each petal represented Guidance, Light, Love, Praise, Salvation, Worship, Life, Hope, Joy and Freedom. Closed with an exchange of gifts and a sociable time.
