Mrs. Neta Fish, president, was in the chair and conducted the business, following the reading of the October minutes read by Mrs. Gwendolyn Malcolm. ' The usual donation is to be sent to Operation Scugog for the Christmas Cheer. We will hope to have Miss Elaine Barkey, Dairy Princess for 1986-87 attend a future meeting. Cards were signed for a sick member, and a 50th Anniversary Card for a Nestleton couple (Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sadler). Delegate expenses to the Fall Convention were voted to be paid. Plans were made for the December pot-luck luncheon to be held on Wed. Dec. 3, at 12:30 p.m. in Nestleton Communi- | ty Centre with the meeting to follow. i Members and friends please keep ' this date with Mrs. Kay Pickard, Convenor of Family and Consumer Affairs in charge. A social time was enjoyed over lunch with the committee serving. Mrs. B. "Homesteads and Harmonies No. 2" is the title of the show which begins Sunday, November 23, and continues to November 30, from 1 p.m. to four p.m. daily.. The show consists of paintings by Jessie Slemon and Janet McGhee. Jessie Slemon has painted in the Bowmanville, Bowmanville, Enniskillen area for a number of years, specializing specializing in local scenes as well as flower studies. Jessie will have a fine selection of her poipular paintings on display in the show. Janet McGhee has been a dedicated naturalist all her life and loves the outdoors. One of the finest watercolour watercolour artists, she finds her subjects by travelling mostly in Ontario. Her paintings often depict buildings, landscapes, flowers flowers and birds. For her sensitive sensitive artistic impressions, she relies on both memory and imagination. Both artists have many things in common. There was a good crowd in attendance; good music and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Also, thanks to all who supported us by their attendance at our dance. The winner of the weekend for two at Harbour Castle was drawn at the dance by last year's winners. This year Carrol Clemens of Hampton had the winning ticket which was sold to her by Tanya Clemens. Congratulations to Mary Murphy who upon completion of her Proficiency badge has progressed to Intermediate level. Lessons this week may have to be scheduled on alternate days. This is because three of our pros will be attending the Eastern Ontario Sectional Skating Championships in Kingston, Five of our senior skaters have qualified for the sectional competition.
