On Thursday, Aug. 21, the team travelled to Ajax for their final game in hopes of establishing some momentum heading into the play-offs. After a slow start, which saw the girls fall behind 3-0 at the half, the offence took over. Led by Karen Klompmaker with 2 goals, and Kristy Dykstra's fine goaltending, the local team earned a well deserved 4-3 victory. Cathy Coombes and Tawnya Clarke added the other goals but the final score was a result of a solid team effort.
