On Friday evening, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception and dance at Newcastle Town Hall for their many relatives and friends, Mr. and Mrs. ben Pears of Orono visited Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Trim. Blaine, a student in Grade 8 at the Pines Senior Public School, had his poem chosen for a book compiled compiled by the Northumberland- Durham school board from poems by students in the area and Blaine received a copy of this book at the reception. Congratulations, Blaine! On Saturday, Mrs. baurie Minville of Toronto was a supper and evening guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. blew Hallowell.
