On Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Trim with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fox of Bowmanville spent the day in Uxbridge visiting old familiar places of Dorothy and Bill's childhood. On Wednesday evening, Mesdames Edna Dobson, Bernice Stark, Evie Farrow, Isabelle Trim, Joan Murphy, Dawn Bretell, Dorothy Stark, Jenny Rypstra, Ellen Farrow, Mary Caswell, Pat Windatt, Mary-bou Fonk with Inez Boughen of Newtonville and Mary Thompson of beskard accompanied the senior citizens from the Durham Complex in Orono who took a bus trip to the Herongate Barn Theatre in Pickering. They all thoroughly enjoyed the buffet supper and the very funny show "Key for Two" which followed. Congratulations to Armand and Joan Hollingsworth of Cowanville! On Friday evening, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception and dance at Newcastle Town Hall for their many relatives and friends, Mr. and Mrs. ben Pears of Orono visited Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Trim. Mrs. Isabelle Trim spent Friday overnight and Saturday Saturday at her cottage at bake Scugog. On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Higgins hosted a birthday birthday party at their home in honour of their daughter Mary who was celebrating her 4th birthday. On Monday afternoon, Mrs. Sherrill Souch and Blaine attended a reception for young poets from Northumberland and Durham Counties and held at Dr. Powers Public School in Port Hope. Blaine, a student in Grade 8 at the Pines Senior Public School, had his poem chosen for a book compiled compiled by the Northumberland- Durham school board from poems by students in the area and Blaine received a copy of this book at the reception. Congratulations, Blaine! On Saturday, Mrs. baurie Minville of Toronto was a supper and evening guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. blew Hallowell. Mrs. Isabelle Trim visited Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stark. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Farrow of Newtonville visited Saturday Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Todd. On Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Souch, Brian and Blaine attended a Jack and Jill barbeque in honor of Mr. Kevin Wood and Miss bouise Kovacs, his bride-to- be, and held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wood, Bowmanville, On Saturday evening, Mrs. Edna Dobson and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stutt travelled to Parry Sound to 'attend the wedding dance of Mr. and Mrs. David Dobson held at the Bobby Orr Arena, baler, Grandma Dobson stayed on to spend a holiday with her brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Art Dobson. Mr. and Mrs. John Windatt visited on Saturday evening with Mrs. Brian Caswell. On.
