Irwin united in marriage Lucy Rybka and Harold Becker, on Saturday, August 11th, 1984, at 1:30 p.m., in Kingsview United Church, Oshawa. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. George Becker, R.R. No. 3 Bowmanville. Given in marriage by the groom's father, the bride was lovely in her traditional gown of regal taffeta designed with a bodice of re-embroidered Alencon lace imported from France, and encrusted with pearls and sequins. A taffeta skirt and full train was enhanced enhanced by a fine Schiffely embroidered lace hem, with a large motif in the centre back of the train. Full sleeves tapered at the wrist into a Victorian style. An imported flowered wreath of hand rolled silk held an illusion veil and she carried a cascade of red and off white roses, lily of the valley and baby's breath. They were gowned alike in formal gowns of sky blue taffeta and carried bouquets of pink roses, miniature blue lilies, white baby's breath and pink ribbons. Best man was Gary Becker, brother of the groom and the ushers were Doug Gay of Oshawa, and Frank Luscher of Mississauga. The groom wore a midnight blue tuxedo, with a boutonniere of a red rose and white baby's breath. The groom's attendants wore navy blue tuxedos, sky blue shirts and white carnation carnation boutonnieres. Receiving the guests at the reception held at Club Lore- ley, Oshawa, the groom's mother wore a formal dusty rose gown .with, a,,corsage of pink and burgundy roses. The master of ceremonies was Mr. Leslie Barany of Oshawa. Leaving for a honeymoon in Ottawa, the bride wore a peach dress and carried a bouquet of red roses. Mr. and Mrs. Becker are now residing at R.R. 3, Bowmanville. Bowmanville. ANNOUNCEMENT Nancy Jeans, sister of the bride, was maid of honour and the bridesmaids were Marilyn Macleod, cousin of the bride, Paulette Wyville, sister of the groom, Brenda Rose and Sherry Watkinson, cousin of the bride. They wore identical full style knee length dresses of pink and white sheer flock dot, while the maid of honour wore a mauve dress of the same. They wore tiaras made of pink roses, rose buds and white baby's breath, made by the bride. The flower girl was Sherry Joy Willoughby, who wore a floor length white nylon and lace dress and a tiara of pink roses and baby's breath. She carried a white silk parasol trimmed beautifully with white ribbons and pink flowers fashioned by the bride. Insurance!
