Baby Crystal is receiving a lot of attention these days - a cute, happy little rascal. Deepest sympathy is extended to our Cartwright neighbor Mr. Dan Gould and family in the sudden passing of a loving wife and mother. Mrs. Gould was a dedicated wife and mother and will be sadly missed. With so many events transpiring this weekend it was impossible to attend all the interesting ones - Lindsay Home Week and the Bobcaygeon Fiddler and Tap Dance weekend contests. On Saturday evening a large number of our community joined the many friends of Vera and Harold Page of Peterborough at a dance in Omemee Community Centre on the occasion of their 35th wedding anniversary. Harold is a brother of Marjorie Stinson and Clarence Page and the Page's are well known in the Yelverton-Bethany area. Also on Saturday evening Eileen and Howard Malcolm and Carrie and Harvey Malcolm enjoyed a fine dinner of pork chops and ribs at Markham Fairgrounds at the York County Pork Producers Annual BBQ. It was our pleasure to renew acquaintances this weekend with Bob and Katie Cook of the Sarnia area who spent the weekend at Bobcaygeon attending their Fiddler's contest there in their mobile trailer. Some 130 trailers were assembled in the trailer park on this occasion. All throughout the park were little groups of musicians gathered together doing their musical thing and providing entertainment entertainment for the rest of the folks. Miss Elizabeth Nasato of Port Credit spent this past weekend with her cousin Mona Malcolm at Malconia when they weren't somewhere else. Last week the De Jong family, Ben and his boys, hosted a Holstein twilight meeting at their farm, complete with BBQ at which some 400 interested folk attended. On Sunday afternoon there was a gathering of the Jackson clan for their annual picnic held at Yelverton Church Hall with some 50 members in attendance. Also they combined a miscellaneous shower for Eldon Werry and his bride-to- be Miss Anne Marie McMorrow. Mr. Andrew Addison of Australia is currently in Canada visiting a number of relatives and friends in the area. Andrew is the younger son of the former Margaret Steele who lived for many years in the Nestleton area. This past weekend he visited with the Arthur Rowan's and was a Sunday caller at Malconia. On Sunday afternoon we were pleased to have a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cook of the Sarnia area en route home from the festivities at Bobcaygeon. On Saturday evening Mr. Gerald Stinson, a former resident of the Cadmus area, participated in the program at the Bobcaygeon Arena with a demonstration of his step dancing agility and his efforts were well received by the 1000 plus spectators present on the occasion. Mrs. Audrie Brown spent a couple of days in Toronto where she attended the retirement party of her friend Anne Rockwood. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Howe have just returned from Edmonton where they visited their son and his wife and brand new grandson. 593 069 *#P«rkg.fc per It 173 169 ^ per kg. | per lb. 1.99 2.49 ^DELI/B.B.Q.
