Elizabeth participated in the Worship Service at Newcastle United Church on Sunday. Winners of the evening were 1st Margaret Burley with 78, second Madeleine Buckley 72, third Leslie Alldred 67, fourth Marion Malette 66 and low scorers were Robin Alldred and Mary Brown. Mr. and Mrs. George Buckley visited with Miss Jessie Lamb in Omemee on Friday. The Colour Party brought in their colours under the direction of Mr. Philip Hayman. Debbie Kelleher and Janet Crowther explained why they celebrate Thinking Day. Jason Andrews led the responsive reading of the Psalm, Richard Budel read the First Lesson and Jennifer Hopkins the Second Lesson. Brett Rogers and Matthew Coyle gave a study and Prayer on the Scouting Ideals and duty to God. Brenda Knapp led the Guiding Prayer for Thinking Day. Brandon Coyle told the story of the rich young ruler. Among the hymns sung was the chorus, Do Lord, a favourite of many of the young people. Donald Stiles invited Mr. Harry Wade to introduce Miss Elizabeth McKinley of Thornbury. Miss McKinley is in her third year of Theology at Emmanuel College and will be ordained this spring.
