Kendal Hills Stud Farm (North of Elizabeth ville) and Kawartha Downs will co-host a retirement party for the four-year-old son of Albatross. Albatross (1:54.3), a former World Champion, is North America's Premier Sire. Coal Harbor is the fastest son of Albatross on a 5/8ths track and the second fastest son, ever. Only Niatross was faster. On Saturday night (November 12), Coal Harbor will go a final training session between races at Kawartha Downs. Then, on Sunday (November 13), Kendal Hills will host a reception for Coal Harbor. His many fans and friends are invited to visit Goal Harbor on Sunday afternoon Art Mart '83 By 40 Artists Opens Nov. 18 ART MART '83 presented by the Quinte Arts Council, will open its doors on Friday, November 18 at 12 noon at the Ben Bleecker Auditorium in Belleville. This year, ART MART '83 will be devoted exclusively to the sale of high quality work by over 40 local artists and craftspeople. In addition to fine oil and watercolor paintings, you will be able to select fine items from a wide selection of crafts including pottery, weaving, quilts, miniatures, tole work, knitwear, crochet, hand- painted silks, porcelain dolls, calligraph, stained glass, wood carvings, dried flowers, hand-painted porcelain and soft toys. As an added feature, there will be live demonstrations ranging from pottery to weaving throughout the two days of the sale.
