The 4-H girls had set up a display on "Looking Good Naturally" as they had done on Achievement Day. Misses Dorothy Dakin and Lisa Van Hemmen commented on their display, showing that Proper Food, Exercise and Good Health Habits contribute to Looking Good Naturally. Misses Anita Prescott and Loren Soutter of the 4-H girls were present as well as Mrs. Dakin and Mrs. Soutter. Mrs. E. Burke gave a demonstration on 'Food Processors.' She told of the various attachments and uses for the processor. Mrs. Burke demonstrated cutting and chopping vegetables for various uses as well as making a "Mock Sour Cream Dip" and "Apple Swirl Cake." Mrs. W. Brown moved a vote of thanks to the 4-H girls and Mrs. Burke for her demonstration. The repeating of the "Collect" and the singing of 'O Canda' closed the meeting. Our May 30th meeting was held at the home of Pat Gray. Mr. Jim Kampstra, our guest speaker, gave an informative talk on garden and lawn care from spring to fall. It was very interesting and educational for all of us as Mr. Kampstra answered all of our questions and helped us solve our lawn and garden problems. He also presented our hostess with a bouquet of blossoms from various flowering crab trees. A lovely lunch was supplied by Lorna Ketela and Cindy Ashton. Solina Community Hall was once again in the spotlight on June 4th as we held an auction, sale of donated items and baked goods, to raise money for the new park. Thanks to the support received from Solina and surrounding com- at Solina munities, the day was a huge success. Along with the auction, auction, a used toy table was of great interest to the children. The sale of hot dogs, muffins, and hot or cold beverages kept everyone happy.
