It seems that she will be required to go for further treatments in Toronto very soon. Everyone here in Kendal hopes these treatments will have her up and around with us real soon. We all wish you well, Mabel. The regular Euchre Card party was again held at the Kendal Orange Hall with 13 tables playing. High lady for the evening was Gladys Greenwood 83, Low lady was Chris Overy. High Gent for the evening was Mr. R. Elliott 81, low gent was Mr. Don Hamm. 50 - 50 draw was won by Miss April Switzer, Garden Hill. Last Friday evening, April 15th, Brooks memorial J.O.A. No. 525 had the honour of putting on the initiation and floor work for the Provincial Grand Lodge sessions which were held in Peterborough. They also received four trophies. The Holden membership membership attendance trophy, the Elliott memorial trophy for second most initiations and the Kirham trophy for memory and degree work and the Pilling trophy for progress for the year. A special thanks for all those who helped to make this evening a success. Last Saturday night, a Jack and Jill shower for newly wed Mr. and Mrs. John Bunker from Toronto and Kendal was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 0. Holland.
