Miss Mona Malcolm has completed her first year in Accounting at Waterloo University University and has returned to her home here at Malconia. Mona seeks summer employment employment preferably along a line in connection with her schooling. schooling. The usual reaction to mis year's "Oscars" presentation was a gigantic "Ho-hum" of genuine boredom. By the time they had covered the first couple of hours of "Trivial Pursuits" and got to the nitty-gritty, one had either succumbed to his soporific atmosphere or turned to a hockey game. There were of course a few excellent presentations presentations -- but they were scarce and far between. A pleasant surprise was our own Canadian A.C.T.R.A. awards with Don Herron alias Charles Farqueson as M.C. Usually, Canadian productions, and we hate to say this, are as dull as ditchwater. Not this one, the pace was quick, the presentations presentations were well done and frequently humorous - all in all a pretty good show. Mrs. Etta Robinson of Cavan was a Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Russo, Jeff and Mark on Sunday for a family get-together. Mrs. Robinson will soon be ignoring another birthday (Mrs. Robinson Robinson doesn't observe them, she prefers to ignore them). Possibly this is why she will be celebrating her 91st early in May. Best wishes to Mrs. Robinson for continued good health. Congratulations to Lindsay Co-op Employees Volleyball team who won the Lindsay house league trophy with eight teams participating during the year. Members of the winning team were Denise Gorrill, Jackie Gorrill, John Gorrill, Dale "Skinny" Burk, Terry Jones, Catherine Eiseinga and Marti Malcolm. Our spring season has been a real mix-master of weather- on Monday and Tuesday evening the frogs were actively actively engaged in their courtship ritual with musical accompaniment accompaniment by their own Kcrmit Choir. Two days later we are subjected to intermittent intermittent snow flurries. Hockey fans attending the Lindsay Muskie vs Dunnville Terriers game on Sunday saw a real fast moving exciting game, after getting off to a slow cautious start. Sharman scoring for the Muskics got the ball a rolling. The second period belonged mainly to the Muskies with Pat O'Neil, Gary Howell (2 goals), Dave Harrison and Mark Williams all tallying, The third period started with 6 to 1 for the Lindsay team. The Muskies were obviously con tent to coast but the Terriers came out strong and tallied four goals to end the game by a 6 - 5 margin. Rick Evans kept the Lindsay team in it as the Dunnville Terriers outshot them. Dunnville's Andy Williams Williams was credited with four of their six goals. Next game is in Lindsay Friday night and moves to Dunnville on Sunday afternoon. TYRONE Twenty-five people completed completed and passed the recent St. Johns Ambulance Emergency First Air Course.
