With record temperatures temperatures and a thunderstorm Christmas came in green. Hopefully this weather won't last much longer and all my readers will have a very Happy New Year. Blackstock was the scene of many Christmas concerts and services this past week. On Monday and Tuesday afternoons two different concerts concerts were performed at the Public School. On Wednesday evening Linda Bradburn, Superintendent of the Sunday Sunday School, was in charge of the Sunday School Concert Candlelighting Service. The audience was entertained by a variety of skits, carols and musical numbers. Following the concert refreshments and a social time were provided provided by the U.C.W. On Friday evening, the United Church was' the setting for, the Christmas Eve Carol Service. Reverend Dale Davis led the congregation in a variety of carols. Arlene Malcolm, Ken Crawford, Dale VanCamp and Peggy Larmer each gave very thought provoking reading on the Christmas Story.
