Saturday's second game, played to a crowded house, saw Courtice Auto Wreckers hand the Flying Dutchmen their first defeat of the season and propel them to within the traffic jam atop the standings in the B.N.C.H.L. The game was very even throughout as the 31 - 29 shot on goal figure would indicate. Courtice opened the scoring at 15.21 of the first period on a goal from Paye West. Paul Bycok tied the score up a minute later. Pete Henderson got his first of the evening late in I he first period to make the score 2 -1 Courtice as the teams went to the dressing room.
