Heather Rebekah Lodge While most lodges were busy after the summer break getting ready for the installation installation of the new officers Heather Rebekah Lodge was busy with a degree practice and on Thursday evening,- we were ready for the three new candidates of, Ganaraska Rebekah Lodge. Sisters Violet Dunlop. Bettv Maior. Olive Millson and Carol Boyd all gave their charges well and the conductor Sister Ethel Hall and Warden Sister Dorothy Trim did a beautiful job conducting the candidates, and I am sure the candidates were impressed and enjoyed the beautiful floor work done by the officers. The Noble Grand of Ganaraska gave a hearty vote of thanks to our degree Captain sister Mae Allen for a job well done. After Lodge a social hour was enjoyed by all. On Tuesday evening was a special night for Heather Rebekah Lodge as the District Deputy President of District 8 Oshawa east, Sister Vera Campbell and her installing staff were present. Lodge opened according to the Ritual with Sister Violet Dunlop as Noble Grand assisted by Sister Laverne Barraball as Vice Grand. The visitors were introduced and welcomed. Sister Vera Campbell District Deputy President was introduced by sister Gladys Gamsby, Sister Nelda Thompson Past President of the LAPM was introduced by sister Doreen Swan. Sister Jean Youngman, Canadian Colour Bearer of the L.A.P.M. and Brother Art Youngman Lieut-Colonel were welcomed by the Noble Grand. Sister Laverne Barraball gave her report on the sick and shut ins and also gave her report of the year. Sister Gamsby gave a report on the bazaar to be held on Saturday, Dec. 4 and there is to be a meeting on Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. in hall. Sister Vera Campbell was then ready to install the officers, Sister Ann Jones her; Deputy Marshal did a very capable job of installing the new officers for 1982 and 83. • Sister Vera then brought - greetings from the President of the Rebekah assembly. Visitors were present from Port Perry, Oshawa No. 3, and Bowmanville. Sister Gamsby then read a very interesting letter from our Foster Child.
