YO, Youth Online Goes to School Youth Online (YO) is a program established by the library that delivers free, inclass demonstrations to sec ondary school teachers and students to illustrate the variety of free, beneficial online resources and servic es that are just a click away on the library's Web site. The program is now being rolled out to teachers and students at the Grade 7 and 8 level. "We're now ready to go out to faculty and students in these grades to present the Oakville Public Library's resources, which include our online magazines and newspapers databases. They're ideal for helping complete school projects," says Clinning. Through the library, Oakville's young people learn and practice an array of electronic information lit eracy skills that will assist them in school, and devel oping future goals and skills.
