Alzheimer Society launches 21st annual Coffee Break program fundraiser today The Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton is encouraging local communities to take a Coffee Break. The 21st annual Alzheimer Coffee Break kicks off today (Thursday, Sept. 15) and continues throughout the month and into October. The major nationwide annual fundraiser sees friends, co-workers and customers gather in communities across Canada to raise funds for local Alzheimer Societies. Participants at these events make a donation in exchange for a cup of coffee. "You can host a Coffee Break anywhere you choose -- your office, your school, your church, home or business," stated a media release. "We provide the kit, which includes coffee, or you can provide your own food and drinks. It's fun, social and easy to organize." The money raised stays in that province or community to help support local programs and services. For more information, or to order a host kit, contact Catherine Pegg at 289-837-2310 or cpegg@alzhh.ca or Dawn Vince at 905-529-7030 or funddevelopment@alzhh.ca, or visit www. alzheimercoffeebreak.ca. 49 | Thursday, September 15, 2016 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com GROWING WOMEN'S HEALTH We believe you're at your best when you LOVE.
