The group show, on display until Saturday (Sept. 3), brings together a number of works that explore the intersection between art and poetry. "The works in this exhibition show that poetry doesn't have to be elitist and stuffy, but has continuing relevance in many areas of our lives," said curator Frances Loeffler. The exhibit features numerous artists and poets, including: Charles Bernstein; Hannah Black; Raymond Boisjoly; bpNichol; Aisha Sasha John; Sophie Jung; Tiziana La Melia; Maryse Larivière; Micah Lexier and Derek McCormack; Hanne Lippard; Tanya Lukin Linklater; Adam Pendleton; Heather Phillipson; Haim Steinbach; Martine Syms; and Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries. It is supported by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia. "Art and poetry share a long and rich history, from the visual poetry experiments of the modernist avantgarde to the association of the Beat Generation with artists like Andy Warhol," stated a media release.
