SO U R C E Ford of Canada and have partnered together to offer yo Rotary Club seek Soap Box Derby sponsors The Rotary Club of Oakville North is seeking sponsors for its second annual Big Brothers Soap Box Derby, to be held on Sun. June 4th. The Derby helps raise much-needed funds for Oakville charities and gives local Little (and Big) Brothers a day of fun, race-filled excitement. The event will take place at 9 a.m. on Water Street behind the Oakville Centre. Twenty-four Little and Big Brother teams will compete in identical, custom-built race cars. A special double starting ramp, electronic race timer and a scoring leader board are utilized in the races. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three races All of sponsorship dollars go to support Big Brothers of Halton and other local community charitable projects such as D.A.R.E, Halton Women's Place and Camp Enterprise, a week-end, hands-on experience to help Oakville High School students develop real-life business skills.
