"Soapy" Soanes Award Dr. Sol Stern was this year's recipient of the Dr. E.P. "Soapy" Soanes Award. The Parsons Bursary fund provides annual bursaries to assist children of OTMH staff with their post-secondary education. With the assistance of Oakville Hydro, Halton Healthcare received a cheque for $922,080 towards energy efficiency equipment at OTMH through an incentive offered by the IESO's Save on Energy High Performance new Construction Program. The program provides design assistance and incentives for building owners and planners who design and implement energy efficient equipment within their new space. "The new OTMH is a thoughtfully designed, state-of-the-art centre of healthcare excellence. It is very energy efficient, incorporating many innovative technologies to reduce its environmental footprint. This incentive award is evidence of our commitment to the environment.
