Dairy Queen Restaurant locations across the nation are gearing up for the coolest fund raiser of the year: Miracle Treat Day. Slated for Thursday, Aug. 13, the fundraising event is designed to raise funds for the Chil- dren's Miracle Network through the sale of Blizzard treats. Money raised at Dairy Queen Restaurant locations in Halton support The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). Locally, residents can turn out to Milton's DQ hosts miracle event in support of SickKids Dairy Queen, 500 Laurier Ave., Unit 16, and support the cause. Every day, more than 4,900 children are treat- ed at 14 Children‘s Miracle Network member hospitals in Canada. In 2013/2014, SickKids managed 8,525 clinic visits'from 2,992 pa- tients in the Haiton region.
