Dear Editor, The Pan Am/Parapan Am Games are almost here. That means it’s time to put Ontario’s transportation plan for the Games in motion. The Province’s plan was developed to help keep you moving during the Games. We consulted with transit and security experts and have adopted successful strategies used during the Vancouver and London Olympics. Starting June 29, an expanded tem- porary High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lanes network will help everyone get around. When the Games start, the Province is supporting enhanced pub- lic transit across the GTHA like more GO and TTC service, as well as accessi- ble options for spectators. Remember, your Games ticket is your free Games- day public transit pass. Businesses are also adjusting delivery Let's keep GTHA moving dun'ng Pan Am Games times and offering employees flex time to help reduce trafï¬c, and Ontar- io is playing its part by coordinating construction and reducing lane clo- sures, all to keepthe region moving. I encourage spectators and travel- lers to use trip planning tools. like the 2015 Games trip planner app (20159amestripplanner.ca) and trip- linx (triplinx.ca). Ontario’s traflic plan is the right plan to keep om region moving.
