The Canadian National Railway Company has been told by the Canadian Transporta- tion Agency (CTA) that it will need to submit Milton's mmmunity newspaper since 1860 an application to the CTA for its construction of a 400-acre intermodal hub. The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Uni- versities announced last Thursday that a fund earmarked for the expansion of a post-secondary institution would be go- ing to York University for the new Markham Centre, in partnership with Seneca College. Wilfrid Laurier University submitted a bid for a campus to be built in the Milton Edu- cation Village off of Tremaine Road. "It is a profound disappointment for the university and for the community partners with whom we have worked very hard over the past seven years," said Max Blouw, presi- dent and vice-chancellor of Laurier.
