Armed robbery in Bronte by David Lea Oakville Beaver Staff #hrps 13 | Thursday, June 2, 2016 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com "Connected to your Community" Halton police are looking for two suspects following the armed robbery of the Piggy Mart Convenience Store in Oakville Wednesday (June 1) morning. Around 7 a.m., two male youths entered the business, which is located at 2290 Lakeshore Rd. W., and demanded money from the clerk. Police said one of the individuals was armed with what appeared to be a dark handgun. One of the youths assaulted the clerk before both fled the scene. It is not clear at this time whether anything was stolen. Officers arrived on the scene a short time later and searched the area with K9 units. No arrests have been made at this time. The clerk was taken to hospital for assessment. The suspects are described as teenagers, wearing grey sweatshirt hoodies. One individual is described as being approximately 5-foot. The officer soon discovered the trailer the vehicle was towing had been reported stolen in York Region in March.
