A Day in the Life of Oakville was first launched during last summer and saw a tremendous community response. Submissions included scenic shots of Oakville trails, new and old architecture, streetscapes, wildlife, construction projects and more. "Oakville is such a beautiful place, and it's seen differently by everyone. A fully inclusive history is one that incorporates multiple perspectives, and A Day in the Life of Oakville was created to preserve community heritage by doing just that," said Elise Cole, local collections librarian. "It's going to be really great to be able to look back on these exhibits in years to come. Looking at some of last year's submissions, landscapes and scenery have already changed."
