Greenhorn Several people have called questioning the beautiful afternoon spent on the lake shore mentioned in our last report. Sorry, we should have explained it was concerning severances on a lake. Council felt an onâ€"site inspection was necessary as we did not agree with the (strictly office!) decisions of the other agencies involved. Because motions of Council are being published, we will try to detail some of the business. At the first March meeting we suffered from having only one meeting in February, due to many other conmitment and comnittee meetings. Approximately seven hours were spent with delegations, leaving the lion's share of the business for the second March meeting. The response to the driving tours compiled by L.A.C.A.C. was so favourable that it is necessary to reprint. This ambitious committee is now considering producing walking tour brochures of Delta and Portland. A final report on the water Abatement Program in Delta was presented to Council. The Pay Equity Committee met three times, one of these was with Spencer Hope from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs. So far, the work is "on stream", but a tremendous amount remains to be done. Committees of Council have all been formed and are meeting regularly. The volunteer members of these certainly work hard to make our Township a better place to live for everyone. Council is planning a fun night to show appreciation for all their efforts. Don't forget to support the . Delta Maple Syrup Festival. 'Til then, keep out of "sticky†situations.
