On Monday (May 2) and Tuesday (May 3) Halton police, in partnership with the Peel Regional Police Service, the Guelph Police Service and Ontario's Ministry of Transportation, stopped and inspected a total of 91 trucks. These commercial vehicle inspections resulted in 187 charges being issued and 53 vehicles being removed from roads for unsafe violations. Two drivers had their licences suspended and five licence plates were removed.
