OHSWEKEN - J.C. Hill Elementary School held its annual Science Fair with more than 40 projects set up in their school gym.

The fair was held on Thursday, March 3 and after much deliberation winners were chosen to receive awards in several categories.

In Grade Six, first place went to Lotus Geerts, second place to Kimara Smith-Schindler and Zoey Powless. Third place went to Peyton Martin.

In Grade Seven, Colby Skye and Conner Johns took first place, while Nic Miller took second place and Hope and Jenisha Hill took third place.

In Grade Eight, first place went to Bailey Hill, second place to Mackenzie Miller and third Place to Brenon Lickers and Savannah Montour.

Special awards were given as well, including; Future Scientist Award to Shauntay Longboat, Mother Earth Award to Mariah Chew and Aiyana Jonathan, Most Original Award to Colby Skye and Conner Johns, Best Display Award went to Mackenzie Miller, and the BIASEF Award went to Conner Johns and Colby Skye.

This made Conner Johns and Colby Skye's "Using commonly available materials to build a prosthetic hand," display the most decorated and award receiving. Supportive teachers explained to the boys that their project could be one to win more awards in the future at larger venues.

Congratulations from the Two Row Times to all participants for their hard work in the science fair.
