Company president and CEO, Michael Martino says that in servicing the home office and small business worker, the chain is well-positioned for continued growth since its core cusr tomer base is large and expanding. "In order for any industry or sector to enjoy sustained growth, there must be a solid support system ," says Martino. "Mail Boxes Etc. offers that support for the small, medium or home office worker-business people who real ize the importance and cost efficiencies of outsourcing tasks such as copying, binding and courier services, or full colour digital printing." Martino says that in providing the kind of office services to small busi nesses found in any large corporation, small business avoids the high overhead cost and can focus on their business. `T h e opening of this Edmonton fran chise brings us one step closer to our goal of having an MBE business centre within the reach of every Canadian," says Martino. "Strategically, that means opening 600 urban and rural centres to accomplish this goal. W e're now halfway there and I have no doubt w e'll be celebrating our 600 th opening in just a few short years. The Canadian master license for Mail Boxes Etc. USA Inc. (MBE), a wholly-owned subsidiary o f United Parcel Service, is owned and adminis tered by MBEC Communications Inc. of Oakville.
