"We want to be prepared to help all newcomers to Oakville in a welcoming way and without doing so with panic in our hearts," said Nancy Bromberg, Fare Share volunteer president. "We must know, in advance, that we can help everyone who comes to us. This is why your donations are particularly important this Easter season." The Easter food drive kicks off today (Friday) and runs through to Sunday, Fare Share needs help with Easter food drive April 3. Fare Share's next food drive won't be until Thanksgiving, so more donations are particularly needed and essential during this season for the food bank to ensure its shelves stay stocked for those in need, according to Ron Ziegel, food drive and volunteer co-ordinator. Donations can be made at Fare Share bins found at all local grocery stores and Oakville Fire stations, as well as directly at the 1240 Speers Rd. food bank. Fare Share serves approximately 350-400 families per month out of its 1240 Speers Rd., Unit 6, location. For a list of most needed items, visit www.oakvillefoodbank.com. "We are in very short supply of diapers (size 6), salmon, oval tins of ham and honey," said Bromberg. abSOlutely everythinG iS On Sale tO clear DOOr craSher! target brand concentrated dishwashing pouch Only DOOr craSher! z-line Design tv Stand reg 199.99 our lease is up!! parSOn cOFFee table reg 99.99 $ limit 5 per family 1 Price $ 9999 $ sale Price Fare Share is a registered charity and can issue tax receipts for donations on the spot.
