All-candidates meeting for Ward 2 by-election April 5 by David Lea Oakville Beaver Staff 3 | Friday, March 18, 2016 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com The Oakville Chamber of Commerce announced Monday it would be hosting an allcandidates meeting on Tuesday, April 5 for the Ward 2 by-election. The event is being held in partnership with the West Harbour, Coronation Park, West River, and Hopedale residents' associations and the Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board. All eleven registered candidates have been con rmed to participate in the meeting, which will be held in the St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School Theatre, 124 Dorval Dr., from 6-8 p.m. Ward 2 residents are encouraged to attend and get to know the candidates running for their ward's council seat. Questions to the candidates can be submitted in advance of the meeting via email to Kristen@oakvillechamber.com with the subject line: "All Candidates Question." "The all-candidates meeting will provide an opportunity for the residents of Ward 2 to engage with the candidates," said Kerry Colborne, Chair of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce. "This important event enables Ward 2 voters to hear the candidates discuss issues that directly affect their homes, families and community at large."
