The deceased man was found in a grassy area near the apartment building at around 1:15 a.m. He has been identi ed as a 33-year-old Oakville resident who lived in the apartment. Police said foul play is not suspected. The Iranian New Year celebration of Nowruz (which means new day in Persian) celebrates the beginning of spring (Sunday, March 20), and is held globally. The Oakville Nowruz Bazaar, which was open to Iranians living in Halton and Hamilton, featured vendors offering food, pastries, and arts and crafts.
