SUPPEE.---Oll the evening of Friday last a very enjoyable time was spent in the dining room of Palmer House by about forty of the employees of Messrs. Patterson & Bro., the occasion being a. farewell supper given by the Moulders in honor of several who are leaving their shop. The members of the brass band united with them, and thus swelled the com_ pany to the above number. After partaking of 9. well-prepared supper, the Editor of the LIBERAL was voted to the chair, and the evening was spent in appropriate speeches called forth by loyal, patriotic and other toasts, and in vocal and instrumental music. “The Queen," “Our New Governor-General,” "The Dominion of Canada,” “Our Guests," "Patterson \Vorks,” “Patterson Employees,” “The Band.” “The Press," and other tomste were proposed and duly responded to, wind- up with “Mine host and hostess" amt the National Anthem. Maple.---The Rev. Dr. Young, of Toronto, occupied the pulpit of the Canada Methodist Church, Maple, 011 Sunday evening last. School Board,-â€"-An adjourned neetmg of this Board will be held on Saturday next, in the High School building. Quarterly Meeting Servicesâ€"On Sun- day morning last the Rev. Dr. Young, of To_ ronto, delivered an able discourse in the Can_ adn. Methodist Church, in connection with their quarterly meeting services. ALove least and the administration of the Lord’s Supper followed, the Rev. Dr. Young officiat- ing, assisted by the circuit Ministers. The three services were well attended, heartily entered into, and resulted in rich spiritual blessing to many. Taxes.---The taxpayers of the Municipalâ€" ity of Richmond Hill are requested to pay their taxes on or before the 28th instant. An advertisement appearing in another column is worthy of attention. Grand Musical 2"est1va|.â€"Wehavo plans- ure in announcing that Mr. Ward’s Musical Class, of Aurora, consisting of about one hundred voices, and dressed in rich an- cient costume, will perform the “Oratorio of Queen Ester," in the Masonic Hull, here, on Monday evening next, to commence at eight o’clock. Mr. \Vard is well and fawn; ably known in many parts of Camila, and his efiurts in establishing singing classes in towns and villages have met with great suc- cess. The programmo for Monday night is something more than ordinary, and we hope to see a lame turn out. Tickets 25 cents. A Meeting of the Ufiicinl Board of the C. M. Church, was held here on Monday last, at the hour of one o'clock. The representâ€" ation was very good, and the business of the circuit was most harmoniously conducted. The Rev. Fat Pigs.â€"â€"Mr. John Clink, of 2nd Con- cession of Markham, killed two pigs on Tuesday last, five months old, and weighing respectively 226 and 207 pounds each- They were bred by Mr. L. Smith, of the same Township. The above is considered an extraordinary weight fur pigs so young. School Board.â€"A meeting of Richmond Hill School Board was held on Saturday last.
