On Feb. 2, the SUV driver pled guilty to a single count of turning left -- failing to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision, contrary to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. She was sentenced to a $500 fine and a demerit point. The crash resulted in the death of Mississauga man on Sept. 9, 2014. On that day, at around 6 p.m., emergency services were called to the intersection of Trafalgar FREE $ Road and White Oaks Boulevard following a collision between a SUV and motorcycle. Upon their arrival paramedics discovered the unresponsive motorcycle rider, a 41-year-old Mississauga man, on the roadway. He was rushed to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The female driver of the SUV and an 11-yearold passenger were not injured. A police investigation indicated the motorcycle, a 2009 Triumph, was travelling northbound on Trafalgar Road when it crashed into the SUV ,a 2014 Honda CRV , which was turning left onto White Oaks from southbound Trafalgar Road. Police said alcohol was not a factor.
