COGECO@ Hom e A smashing success The Michael Schade & Friends Sing fo r Leukemia Research concert on Saturday at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts was everything the organizers expected, and more. The sold-out concert reached its monetary goal, with proceeds from the concert to be matched dollar-for-dollar by McMaster University's Department of Medicine to pur chase a DNA sequencer. Oakville's husband-and-wife team, Michael Schade and Norine Burgess, both international opera stars, invited some of their colleagues to join them in a concert to raise money for the DNA sequencer. But the concert was more than a financial success, if comments from the Oakville Beaver photographer are any indication. Barrie Erskine, attending his first opera perfor mance, was blown away by the music and the "fun" the performers were having. "It was great," he exclaimed. "I really enjoyed it." 60 tim e s faster than 28.8 dial up · · /*;»:.......... ,* u 4 . lu .L .li U When you compare the speeds, Truly high speed Internet is not on the phone line.
