It takes place at the Dog Den daycare, 5325 Harvester Rd., Burlington from 1-3 p.m. Most needed are towels, sheets, paper towels, enrichment toys such as a Kong and food puzzles, leashes, martingale collars, and treats and food. "Cash donations are also welcome as we will donate proceeds to dogs requiring medical attention," said Oakville resident Michelle McAuley, the Facebook group's administrator and one of 11 organizers from the group. Others include Ana Hourahine, Zuzana Pcolinsky, Dog Den's Dave Jacobs, Sharon Baker Blanchette, Izabel Jacobowski, Jenn Beaver, Gareth Dias, Lori Jenkins, Elizabeth Nesbitt and Mutt Life in Milton. LIFE with Dogs was created last month, but already has more than 170 members. McAuley noted donations would be distributed among local dog shelters and rescues that include the Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) Toronto Humane Society, The Dog Rescuers Inc. and Animal ResQ.
