Sjx Nations News Six Nations Events Fire of unkown origin destroyed a large barn on the farm of Clarence Hill, R.R. i l Ohswel-~cn on Sunday afternoon. The familty was absent from home when the fire _ occurred. A passing motorist noticed the blaze and notified the volunteer fire dept. They pre- vented the fire from spreading. · A large quantity of hay and straw, t _ractor and farm implements were destr oyed in the blaze. The loss is estimated at $12,000. partly covered by insurance. The"Iroguois" will sail again! The Dept . of National Defense has awarded contracts for the construction and outfitting of four helicopter-carrying destroyers for the marit:ime corrrrnand of the Canadian Armed Forces. One will be called "Iroquois" to perpetuate the name of a famous Canadian warship of the past . The first Iroquois was named after t he Iroquois of the Six Nations. The cost of the Iroquois, DDH-280 class, will be $26,949,368. It will be delivered in June 1971. No wonder there isn ' t enough money for the Six Nations hospital! Ed.
