At this meeting, the town's Budget Committee will also be receiving the proposed 2016 Operating Budget for review. With the budget process underway, the Budget Committee will be holding both formal and informal public consultation meetings between now and December 14, 2015. Background: The Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) site was part of the town's overall South Central Public Lands Study (SCPLS) -- which reviewed a number of key sites, owned by the town, in south central Oakville (e.g. surplus school sites, Oakville Arena) and made recommendations about their future use, including recreation uses. This Open House is the first step towards the town's commitment to further assess the former hospital site and report back on site design details, public consultation, and implementation steps.
