Alloa Public School seeks artist and artisan vendors for its May 12th arts and craft show. Artists of all mediums welcome. Please contact Jen, justjenifer@netscape.ca, or call 905-495 2583 for more information. Alloa Public School, located at 1248 Mayfield Rd. will be hosting the show on May 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is a fundraiser for the purchase and installation of playground equipment, and will have in addition to the show, a 50/50 draw and refreshments available for purchase. Admission to the show is free.

The installation of playground equipment includes painted asphalt games, sports equipment and traditional playground toys. The Alloa school council has made a commitment to purchase all the equipment and apparatuses for the future playground, which will cost an estimated $25,000 or more. Council raises funds throughout the year with pizza days, as well as a fall fundraiser selling QSP. The money raised by the arts and craft show will be specifically set aside for use only on the purchase of playground equipment.
