Dear editor, Recently my family had the unfortunate luck of being involved in an accident at the corner of Mountainview Road and Delrex Boulevard. My husband was riding his bike with our two little girls (ages 5 and 2) in a trailer behind the bike, when they were struck by a car while attempting to cross Mountainview. We, as a family, want to send out our most sincere thanks to everyone at the scene who aided us in all ways possible. Namely: The neighbours and bystanders who helped out right away by calling 911, calming our girls, supporting them and listening. (They went "over and above" by providing the girls with drinks and toys to keep them occupied.) The fireman from Richmond Hill who provided care to my husband immediately. The police officers and ambulance attendants who arrived quickly and dealt with the situation amazingly. The witnesses who gave of their time and provided impact statements. You are all the reason why we will get though this life-altering ordeal and the reason why we love living in Georgetown-- where people still care about other people. One last thing we would like to urge to you, the community, young, old or in between is to always wear your bike helmets-- this story would have had a tragic ending if my husband had not been wearing his! The Stephens family, Georgetown
