Upper Credit Humane Society will host its major fund-raising event, a Masquerade Ball, on March 25. This dinner and dance with a silent auction, will feature magician Alan Grose, at the Caledon Golf and Country Club. Cocktails will be held at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $80. For more information or tickets, call the shelter at 519-8332287. Tickets also available at: Global Pet Foods, Georgetown, or Graham's Animal Hospital, Hillsburgh. Funds are always needed at the UCHS as the Society is solely reliant on the generosity of the public for its operating funds. The spay and neuter program alone takes many dollars, then add microchipping, vaccinating, and the general care of all the animals in residence, food, etc., you can imagine how quickly the bank account gets depleted. In 2006, the Society is expanding the Shelter, at the corner of Trafalgar Rd. N. and Wellington County Rd. 124 to include another room for kittens and is also for moving its Thrift Shop to Georgetown. Guests can decide how they wish to dress for this occasion, but masks will be on hand for those who wish to be incognito. If you cannot attend the function, but would like to participate with a donation of goods or gift certificate for the Silent Auction it would also be much appreciated.
