Hospital OB unit needs nurses

Recruitment efforts are well under way to fill a variety of employment opportunities currently available in the Obstetrics Unit at Georgetown Hospital. Halton Healthcare is hosting a special Open House for registered nurses with experience in obstetrics at Georgetown Hospital on Saturday, February 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. "We are opening the doors and inviting interested applicants to come in to meet our team and take a look around," said Cindy McDonell, Chief Operating Officer at Georgetown Hospital. "We encourage people to bring their resume with them and if time permits, be prepared for an on-site interview!" The Obstetrics Unit at the Georgetown Hospital site is a full service Level 1 facility with labour, delivery and post partum beds for seven patients. Currently, the unit has one obstetrician and four family practitioners who deliver the almost 250 babies who are born at the hospital each year.
