Twisters tops at Mississauga tournament

Even though they scored just five goals in four games, the North Halton peewee A Twisters took top spot at the 25th-annual Mississauga Chiefs' Girls' Hockey Invitational. They tied Cambridge 2-2, defeated the Barrie Sharks 1-0, lost to the Mississauga Chiefs 1-0, then beat Barrie again 2-1 in the championship game. Shauna Patterson (3G, A), Jen Eady (G, 2A), Jen Cushnie (G) and Hailey Galloway (2A) were the leading Twister scorers. Members of the team, starting in the front row, from left, are: Emily Robinson, Courtney Quinn, Leah Perry, Stefania Villeneuve, Jennifer Eady, Nicole Dixon, Erika Hack, Katie Smolack, Jen Cushnie.
