October 20,1949 The Nipigon News PLAN DRAMA FESTIVAL (Continued from Page 2) Thunder Bay Drama Association. Election of officers took place, with Owen Neill, Nipigon, accepting the office of president; Gordon Goldie, Geraldton, vice-president; Mrs. G. H. McLellan, Red Rock secretary, and Miss Donna Williams, Nipigon, treasurer. Each club not already represented on the executive was asked to mail in the name of their elected representative, and the fee for each group participating was set at ten dollars. Considerable discussion took place regarding the formation of a constitution by which the Drama Association would be governed, and it was moved that the Schreiber Valley Players draw up a tentative constitution. Reeve Henry Swain expressed the hope that they had enjoyed their sessions here, and his pleasure that Nipigon had been chosen as the meeting place for the “Workshop.” He extended an invitation to the newly organized Drama Association to hold their first festival at Nipigon, and the invitation was accepted, with the probable date of the festival some time in the late Spring. In attendance at the Workshop from Geraldton were Mr. and Mrs. Heency, Gordon Goldie, Mrs. Kirk, Mrs. Seegmiller, Mrs. J. N Reid and Mrs. L. Ryder. From Schreiber: Mrs. M.
