Open from 1 to 4 p.m. - admission is by donation - the museum is offering tours of Erchless, family home Oakville's founder Col. William Chisholm. Or, add a leaf to the museum's Canadian tree, make a craft to take home, try your knowledge in Canada's Facts Quiz, or participate in an activity at the Old Post Office Museum in Lakeside Park. The museum, at 8 Navy St., is also open Monday, July 2, from 1 to 4 p.m., however reg ular admission applies. For information, call 905-338-4400. Bronte swings on Canada Day Canada Day celebrations in Bronte and at Coronation Park on Sunday will be linked this year by a free shuttle bus ser vices. The Bronte Village BIA and the Halton Multicultural Council will also share the opening ceremonies for Canada Day festivities. The ceremony will be held at Bronte Village Mall at 11 a.m. Speakers will include represen tatives o f the Bronte Village BIA and the Halton Multicultural Council, plus local politicians. Following the singing of `Oh Canada' and the traditional cut ting of the cake, a parade will proceed eastbound along Lakeshore Road to Coronation Park, leaving at about 11:30 a.m. In Bronte, there will be an afternoon of entertainment from the stage, a martial arts demon stration, sidewalk sale and fash ion show. In addition, there will be pony rides at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. Both Coronation Park and Bronte will have cultural enter tainment, plus local and out-oftown vendors selling food. A draw for a barbecue will be held on stage at 4 p.m. Coupons have been distributed to 30,000 homes, and entries will be accepted until 3:30 p.m. Canada Day celebrations in Bronte will end with a street dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Bronte Road and Ontario Street will be closed for the cel ebrations from Marine Drive to Jones Street. "The Bronte Village BIA was unable to secure the required funding from corporate sponsors or a boat to tow a barge to Bronte." An `I am Canadian' hike starts at 2 p.m. meet at the Nature Centre.
