Insyallation of Free Phone Service Would Take l½ Years Free service on telephone calls from the Dunnville system on the Six Nation Reserve to subscribers on the Bell system w0uld take at least 18 months to implement, a spokes- man for Dunnville Community Te~epnone Company said today. The spokesman was refering to a recent decision by Six Nations council to inform the Dunnville company that it would have 30 days to inform the council on a plan for free service or remove their syste~ from Indian lands. Several residents of the reserve on the Dunnville line are paying long di~tance toll charges to call neighbors across the road on the Bell system. The spokesman said the company offered the Six Nations residents one, two .or four part sy5't:em-s..-las.:t- summ€.r,- but t · eir offer was -refused,, He said that at present, as many as _10 parties are connected on one line. The Dunville and Bell companies are both taking surveys on service in the Six Nations area. The spokesman said his company has not yet received the 30 days notice.
