We're taking over, we're breaking out and you won't stop us now." The song is among five the teen has recorded professionally with music producer Tim Thorney, who has worked with Alanis Morissette and The Rankins. He's preparing to release his first EP with Breaking Out as its first track. McMillan only began concentrating on writing last summer, but has more than 40 songs. He also plays piano, something he returned to recently after taking basic classes as a child. His musical inspirations are Ed Sheeran Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Sia, Lorde and Justin Bieber. McMillan says he's caught the Blue Jays fever. "I've definitely become a bigger fan this year because they're doing so well," he said, noting he's been to a few games this year.
