I would particularly like to wish our children the Happiest Christmas ever because this day is largely centred around I am hopeful that all our underprivileged or less fortunate children will be remembered at Christmas through the fine work being carried out by our local citizens' organizations. The many persons who assist these organizations in the contributions they make at this season of the year cannot be too highly commended. Certainly, their efforts uould not be duplicated by any Government. I hope that each and every one of our people enjoy a Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous New Year. Yours sincerely, W. A. With chickens, geese and turkeys as the prizes and with the town hall decorated with spruce trees, the atmosphere was definitely one of Christmas time. Miss Cecily Scroggs won a radio as a Bingo prize and the larger radio was won by Mr. Ted Chandler on the draw. The Rotary Club wishes to thank the many good friends who bought tickets for the games and so made the evening a financial success and we all hope that you enjoyed yourselves playing the game as much as we did in operating it. Also a word of appreciation to the many kind friends who helped out by taking tickets and distributing cards. SUCCESSFUL DANCE The Ladies Auxiliary to Colborne Legion held a very successful dance on Friday evening in the town hall. There was a good attendance and the music for dancing was supplied by the popular "Lamplighters" dance orchestra.
