Born in Dogliola, Italy on October 17, 1928, he leaves behind his son John and wife Janis and daughter Marianne and husband Pat, granddaughters Melissa, Jessica, Abigail and Alexis, brothers Giovanni, Umberto, Mario and sister Emma. HAYTER, Frances B. (nee Hayes) On Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Waterford Regency Care, Frances in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late W. R. Hayter. Frances was a graduate of the Toronto General Hospital class of 1939, nursing sister RCAF. Survived by step-children Byran (Margaret), Ann Picken and Stephen. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and "chosen daughter" June Terry Greenstreet. Predeceased by Betty Marsh, George, Dorothy (John), Barry Hayter, Ray and William Hayes. Condolences through www.koprivataylor.com GORDON, Darryl James June 7 1955 - August 31, 2015 It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Darryl James Gordon at the far too young age of 60. Survived by his children Kris and Fiona, his sisters Alex (husband - Peter Langston) and Gail (husband - Cliff Edwards), nieces and nephew, James and Sara Edwards, Faye and Holly Langston, his close friend Louise Zita and her children, plus his friends David, Tim, Eamon, Darcy and the countless others whose lives he touched. Darryl was born in Northern Ireland, first child to William David (Derry) and Margaret Gordon. He spent his childhood in rural Sion Mills (outside Strabane), Co. Tyrone before moving to Holywood, Co. Down, where he completed his primary and secondary education before moving to Belfast to attend Queen's University. He would then pursue career opportunities in Dublin where he met his former wife and mother of his children, Linda Downes. They lived happily in Dublin and welcomed their son in 1983. They emigrated to Canada in 1986 settling in Oakville where they would have their daughter and Darryl pursued a successful marketing career. He was a truly loving and caring father, brother and friend. He loved his children above all else and would often express to his friends and loved ones the pride he had in them. He was an intellectual, well read and wanted to learn more of this world every day, he had a wicked sense of humour and an infallible wit that will be deeply missed. A skillful poker player who would smile you down to the river. He was a light in the world to everyone who knew him, and was deeply loved by his family and will be missed very much by all. Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, September 12th at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street Oakville, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Service in the Ward Chapel at 1:00 p.m. There will be a reception following the Service at The Kings Arms, 323 Church Street Oakville. Husband, Father, Grandfather and Physician, Anthony Tripodi passed away on September 4, 2015 from his near 10 year battle with cancer. He was 72 years young. Tony's spirit in life is carried on by his wife Christine, sons Mark and Blair, daughters-in-law Genny and Chiara and grandchildren Hailey and Samuel, as well as his younger brother Robert and his brother-inlaw Marzio. Today we lost one of the good guys. But not before he infected this world with his smile, charm, and inquisitive nature. To Tony, everyone mattered. Our family would like to sincerely thank the staff and physicians at Princess Margaret Hospital, Dr. Benjamin for her support and care over the last few months, and the wonderful staff at Ian Anderson House in Oakville. NERO, Janet Mary (January 11, 1933 - September 1, 2015) Passed away peacefully on September 1, 2015 at her daughter's home in Niagara Falls, with her loving family at her side. Janet is survived by her children, Sandra Ann Nero, Brian (Elaine) Nero, Stephen Nero and Laura Nero. Also surviving are her grandchildren Hope (Steve), Lesley (Michael), Brodie, Raquel (Brian), Josiah, Hannah, Maxwell and Sheridan (Laura) and her great grandchildren Aaron, Kristian, Tyler, Carter, Isabella and Savannah. Predeceased by her parents Eleanor and Walter, husband Leslie Nero and siblings, John Reynolds, Peter Reynolds and Patricia Johnsen. Janet will forever be remembered for her incredible artistic ability. She had a love and passion for singing and painting. We will replay her melodious voice in our heads and cherish the masterpieces she created. Her love for us was endless and unselfish and for that we thank her.
