Beloved husband of Mary Carol MacKillop (nee Joyce). Loving father of Andrew and Adam MacKillop (Natalia Podstreleny). Dear brother of Ross MacKillop, Marilyn Tanton and the late Doug MacKillop. Cherished grandfather of Gillian Birch, Stjepan MacKillop and Hadeon MacKillop. Bud was full of life and lived every day as the best ever. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Brantford, Bud's personal and professional life took him from small town Ontario to around the world. In high school Bud met Mary, his wife of 52 years, and they literally lived happily ever after. Post university graduation in Chicago, where Bud majored in Physical Education and worked tirelessly for the inner city Boys' Club of Chicago, the couple moved back to Southern Ontario where they raised their two sons. Bud's professional life included executive and President/CEO appointments in the specialty chemical and consulting fields with oversight responsibilities across Canada, Europe and the U.S. His love for sports, especially hockey, swimming and basketball, saw him compete competitively throughout his youth. Later in life, his sporting outlets included racquetball, golf and cheering on his life long team, The Toronto Maple Leafs. Beyond Bud's accomplishments, his greatest passion was engaging others and making people happy. Whether chatting with someone in line at Tim Horton's, helping a neighbour's son learn to tie his shoes or coaching his boys' teams, Bud did everything with a unique style based on a true zest for life and positive approach to anything he did. `A life well lived' epitomizes Bud's own life and the impact he had on others. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 1:30 4:30 p.m. at the Brantford Golf and Country Club, 60 Ava Road, Brantford, ON. Although sudden, her passing was peaceful, with her loving family by her side. Patty was the beloved and devoted wife of John Wilcox. For 51+ years they were partners in all things. She was a caring and dedicated mother to Kathleen (Ken), Tim (Suzy), and Elizabeth (Ryan) and she was the most amazing and fun Nana to her six grandchildren: Maggie, Claire, Andrew, Brian, Riley and Eli. Patty was born in Edmonton on August 15, 1941 to Mac and Helen Colman and grew up in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Bob. Patty received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Manitoba. She taught and coached for several years in Boston and Toronto. Always a vibrant and active member of her community, her many activities included Chair of St. Paul's United Church in Milton, Director of the Milton Public Library Board, Halton District School Board Trustee, Track 3 Ski Instructor and long time member of CFUW Oakville and Milton chapters. Patty loved so many things, especially the arts, sports and the outdoors. She was an avid cyclist, skier, hiker, gardener, birder, pianist and one of the Blue Jays' most enthusiastic fans. Patty enjoyed spending summers at the family cottage in Minaki, Ontario, but always liked coming back home to the farm in Milton. Patty's passion for her family, friends and community filled her life with joy. She so loved staying in touch with friends near and far, old and new. The family wishes to thank Patty's many, many great friends for their love and support. Our family looks forward to seeing those of you who will be able to join us for a service on Saturday, August 29th at 3 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church (123 Main St. East, Milton, ON L9T 1N4) followed by a Celebration of Life at the family farm.
